"Athina's experimental practice develops through the construction and transformation of mechanisms that investigate human behaviour and relationships. Beginning with mobile human-like sculptures, these mechanisms are first explored as autonomous kinetic forms, then brought into dialogue with performers in theatrical settings, and finally internalised within film, where they subtly influence the interactions between characters. Each medium becomes a new stage of the same artistic inquiry."

With a script written by Athina, this artistic research explores the tension between individuality and cooperativism. Athina also directed an experimental performance based on this script, with actors who were members of the Artist Cooperative Athens, as an exploration of the possibilities and dynamics of artistic collaboration within the Cooperative.

The performance, titled Embloki, was presented at Theatre Embros in Athens in July 2014.
